What draws you forward at MOSLA /
What gives you special motivation?
I am generally eager to find out, whether our compounds are in the position to do more than we know – at best exhibiting more than one useful feature at a time. So we decided to use compounds that were proven to exhibit extreme and well-distinguishable non-linear optical properties as materials for long-term data storage.
Which goal do you want to achieve next?
Regarding the goals for MOSLA, we aim at making our compounds water-soluble, which turns out to be the biggest hurdle to clear. As the compounds are to be inlcuded in inks, the foremost precondition is that they dissolve readily in common ink solvents.
What are you passionate about?
I am a passionate musician, playing the violin in the same orchestra since 1988.
What did you always want to do?
I always wanted to combine working at the university with a large family. This is, what I actually do.
